“I’m not strange, weird, off, nor crazy, my reality is just different from yours.” – Lewis Carroll

I’m Alice.  I’m many different things to many different people.  Wife, daughter, friend, counselor… the list goes on.  People may see different facets of me, but there is much below the surface that I cannot keep silent anymore.

Many have no idea I’ve been sick for a long time and only recently got my life together.  I struggle with mental illness everyday and have for over 25 years.  I crossed the border from mental health patient to mental health professional several years ago and have found myself walking a tightrope between the two ever since.  I try to help others in hopes they will never reach the level of madness I’ve seen and felt in myself.

This is my story.  This is who I am, unchained.
